Precautions to be taken during lockdown for Heidelberg postpress equipment
Recently, Heidelberg released news detailing the precautions that must be taken during the lockdown period for Heidelberg postpress equipment.
General Maintenance
- Cheque input voltage levels with the support of electrical professionals earlier powering ON the machine
- Safeguard the automobile from dust, rats/rodents with protective roofing
- Park mitt pellet trucks in right positions
- Clean expanse surrounding the equipment
- Clean beneath the auto by blowing pressured air
- Clean gripper bar chain and run the press for 20 – 30 minutes
- From lubrication menu (HMI Display) activate manual chain lubrication for ten – 15 minutes (the delivery chain should be lubricated unit chain looks wet with oil)
- Install traditional/glue mouse traps at the production room
- Remove all flammable, fume-genrating solvents in surrounding equipment and store with caution
- Dispose all waste produced by machine.
Feeder Station
- Employ light coat of oil on suction head forwarding sucker bar, lifting sucker bar and blower heads
- Employ thin coat of grease or oil for all sliding parts on suction caput, side stops and pile centering threaded shaft
- Use sparse coat of grease on feeder pile chains.
Feed table and Infeed station
- Lubricate centralized runner adjustment parts with recommended lubricant
- Clean and lubricate tape tabletop frame, concord downward runner shaft, tape rollers
- It is highly recommended to reduce tape tension if the lockdown is more than than 8 days
- Make clean and lubricate infeed area, side lay, forepart lay, sliding parts and sliding accessories should exist lubricated with lite coat of oil (make sure all sensors are grit free and oil complimentary)
- Release tension from side-lay pulling roller
Die-cut station
- Clean the plastic top surface of the upper chase with acetone and park the hunt inside machine or in position shown above
- Thoroughly lubricate 1mm plate, 4mm plate or 3mm plate with oil and park inside automobile
- Lubricate hunt parking guide rollers and exposed parts with thin coat of oil
- Clean oil cooler heat exchanger
Dice-cutters with stripping station
- Apply thin grease coating on stripping movable frames, and chrome-coated fixed shafts
- Clean reflectors in platen outlet and stipping outlet with slightly wet fabric and dry out immediately. Ensure that the cleaning textile is fabricated of soft and anti-scratch cloth
- Clean breather filters in the platen outlet
- If machine oil needs to be replaced, practise information technology at the time when print product is restored (when the machine kicks dorsum into production)
Foiling station
- Make clean honeycomb chase with acetone and utilize thin glaze of oil on both surfaces
- Clean telescopic foil loading shafts and lubricate sliding parts
- Clean reflectors in platen outlet and foil-loading station outlet with slightly wet material (made of soft, anti-scratch material) and dry immediately
- If machine oil needs to exist replaced, do it at the time when impress production is restored (or when the machine kicks back into product)
- Clean special-coated shafts with acetone and lubricate with thin coat of oil, or concatenation lubricant spray
- Clean the surface of all safe rollers with acetone and keep away from drive shafts. Information technology is important to ensure that rubber rollers are non in contact with drive shafts (social distancing policy is appicable here as well)
- Drive shafts marked 1,2,iii,iv,A & B in the above figure to be cleaned with acetone
- Clean foil-waste-removal brushes
- Make clean waste rewinding shafts and release spring tension in transfer direction
- Lubricate all sliding parts and bearings of the chase turning tabular array
- Remove all teflon foil C guides, to ensure proper cleaning of not-rotating, special coated shaft in platen inlet and platen outlet
- Utilize sparse coat of oil on metallic plate, contrary to the foil suspension sensor in platen inlet
Delivery unit
- Delivery sheet restriction command cams need to be cleaned and lubricated with thin layer of oil
- Lubricate delivery pile supporting chain with oil
- Lubricate sheet brake format adjustment rack and pinion
- Grease delivery OS/DS joggers nipples and lubricate sliding jogger shaft with sparse coat of oil
Peripherals
- Clean becker compressor filters and go on set up for utilise/functioning
- Ensure complete draining of pneumatic air. Adjust incoming valve to be in 3 O' clock position
- Drain the pneumatic compressor tank and ensure the tank is empty
